I Saw the Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile

July 19, 2012 by info@3QuartersToday.com

Spread the love

“I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Weiner, That is what I truly wish to be ..”  now everybody sing!

It’s the Wiener Mobile!! I’ve heard about it, I’ve seen it on TV, but never seen it in person. Today at lunch it drove the front door and I yelled out, “Oh my look it’s the Wiener mobile!”  The scheduled visit was at Walmart in Omaha Nebraska and to Walmart I went for lunch. (alas no hotdogs were available for eating outside)

The photo above is an official Oscar Mayer event photo taken on an iPad and automatically sent to my email with all sorts of social media possibilities. They are very well connected to Twitter, Facebook, blogging from the road and of course Kraft Foods has a very complete website.

It goes without saying  I took photos of my own, in my own style and I’m going to post them next week. But I was so excited to see the Wiener Mobile I had to post it today!! I even got a Wiener Mobile whistle!

Until next week and the full story eat an Oscar Mayer hot dog and sing a happy song.

Great bit of americana! Takes me back to my childhood. I prefer uncured nitrate free wieners these days, but oh the memories…

Anything that tkes us back to our childhood is a reminder of carefree days with no responsibility. A child of the 60’s and 70’s playing ball in the street, not coming home until it was dark.

Thanks for commenting and visiting my blog.

Wiener-tastic I say! That would take up the whole road! I wonder if that cartoon commercial was done by Hanna-Barbera? The characters really look like the same style as ‘The Jestsons’ and ‘The Flinstones’

I don’t know, but I do know I was singing the jingle last night and my hubby was singing the last part which I forgot all about “oh I wouldn’t want to be…nothing left of me”

Hey there, thanks for stopping by and commenting on my very first WordPress post. It was a nice surprise. I hope your friend is liking Ireland,-we are loving New England. Interesting blog you have here, may have a nosy around.

Please do have a nosy around. The midwest and Nebraska is a lot different from New England where I grew up. I’ve been to England twice, once to Yorkshire country, in a way its like a cross between the Midwest and New England.

It’s a great piece of Americana. I’ve seen it several times and always found myself smiling just from looking at it, but never had the chance to take a photo. Looking forward to seeing your whenever you get time to post them!
